QSE bring Shakespeare’s tale of madness and betrayal to Roma Street Parklands

Queensland Shakespeare Ensemble present their take of Shakespeare’s classic, The Winters Tale, directed by Michelle Miall, in the Roma Street Parkland from August 23-September 9.

In a tale of suspicion and betrayal, a family is torn apart when a King turns jealous monster. His actions set in motion a series of events that forever change the lives of everyone he loves. But in this story, sadness gives way to hope as our tragedy transforms.

Fate twists and turns with the change of the seasons and time shows its power.

Featuring music performed live by the cast in trademark QSE style, and set in the heart of Roma Street Parkland, The Winter's Tale reminds us that no one is too old for fairy tales.

The Queensland Shakespeare Ensemble is proud to partner with the Red Cross, ARAFMI QLD, and Community to present the A Night at the Theatre initiative.
