Following the John Bloomfield workshops on the Taubman Approach to piano playing at the University of Queensland Music School on February 4-5 there will be a three-part concert series featuring pianists who have found benefit in studying the Taubman Approach.
The first is in the Nickson Room at UQ on Saturday February 4 from 6-7 pm with a recital by Liam Viney and Anna Grinberg. They will be Schubert’s Fantasie in F minor, A Touch Divided blocked for two pianos by Yevgenie Sharlat and John Adams’ Hallelujah Junction.
Joe Chindamo and Zoe Black perform the next recital the Nickson Room at UQ on Sunday February 5 from 6-7 pm. They will be performing original works by Joe Chindamo – Nine Lives of La Folia, Three Spaces, Symbiosis and American Spirit plus some re imagining of music by Handel; and Gershwin.
Finally Joe and Olivia Chindamo will perform at the Brisbane Jazz Club from 8 pm. Doors open at 5.30 pm with the first set by the Brendan Clarke Trio from 6.30 pm. Tickets from www.brisbanejazzclub.com.au
