Kurt Phelan returns to cabaret

After sell-out seasons in Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, Adelaide and New York City, Kurt Phelan is coming home to Queensland with his new cabaret show.

2015 was an excellent year for Kurt. After a national tour of Dirty Dancing he has been touring his new cabaret, Phelan Groovy. The production is part biographical and part behind-the-scenes voyeurism.

Kurt Phelan has performed major roles in some of the biggest musicals in Australia over the last decade. From Singin’ In The Rain to Priscilla, Queen of The Dessert, Phelan has seen and done it all..

“While I love this industry that has supported me so well, I wanted to create something in my voice, something that is honest, cheeky, entertaining and deeply personal,” says Phelan, “Also. I just really wanted to have a yarn and sing somee**ffing great songs…”

Phelan Groovy is an hour of laughter and music that doesn’t take itself too seriously and asks its audience to do the same.

Thursday 1st to Sat 3rd December nightly at 8.45 pm (runs 60mins), Studio 53 ½, Brisbane Powerhouse, Lamington Street, New Farm

Tickets: Full $28; Conc. $25 (Booking fee applies)
