Bard in the Yard: Shakespeare Under the Stars


Share House Theatre Company is producing a backyard performance of Romeo and Juliet. The classic love story where teenagers fall in love, everything goes wrong, and they both end up dead. Their version has a beer bong!

Bring along a fold out chair, or a blanket and pillow, along with dinner and some snacks. Beer and wine will also be available for purchase, BYO alcohol is not permitted. Tickets are $20 for Adults and $15 for Concession and under 16s. Be sure to purchase your tickets before the 1st of February to receive 10% off.

Mitch Wood, who will being playing Romeo said: “Shakespeare is a dish best served in the cool air with the stars above your head I reckon. It creates an other-worldly atmosphere and unconsciously resonates some of the massive themes he writes about. It’s going to help our audience really indulge and involve themselves in the story.”

Share House Theatre Company is Brodie Greenhalgh, Josh Lyons, and Emma Black, three USQ acting alumni. The Cast of Romeo + Juliet consists of nine USQ alumni, graduands, and current students as well as two TAFE and QUT drama graduates.
