Rock band Explosions in the Sky head to Australia

Texan post-rock band, Explosions in the Sky, make their way to the Concert Hall, Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) for a concert on Friday 24 February 2017 as part of their Australian tour.

Known for their intense live shows, the quartet has sold out Radio City Music Hall and Royal Albert Hall in London, sound-tracked Friday Night Lights along with a number of motion pictures and dozens of TV shows; most recently the band performed at Glastonbury Festival (2016).

For more than fifteen years, Explosions in the Sky have been at the forefront of instrumental rock. Visually and aurally stunning live performances transport the listener to vast landscapes, on epic journeys. The band’s latest album The Wilderness (released April 2016) received rave reviews, with Pitchfork calling it a “quietly masterful, emotionally rich work”. Support act yet to be announced.

Tickets are on sale now via qpac.com.au or 136 246.
