Ben Folds returns to Queensland

Multi-platinum singer/songwriter/producer Ben Folds returns to the Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) Concert Hall on Thursday, August 18 as part of his Australian tour, performing with celebrated New York City-based chamber ensemble yMusic.

Folds and yMusic will showcase new songs from his recently released record So There which debuted at #1 on both Billboard’s Classical and Classical Crossover charts, as well as other familiar hits.

For Ben Folds this tour is like coming home.

“I’m looking forward to bring our new live show to Australia”, Folds said. “For me, returning to Australia is like coming home. I have deep roots and feel such a strong connection to audiences.”

Folds added that his new live show promises to deliver “just the right dynamic blend of pop and classical music with new songs and familiar hits.”

Folds first found mainstream success as the leader of the Ben Folds Five. He has gone on to have a successful solo career, recording multiple studio albums, a pair of records documenting his live performances, a remix record, music for film and TV, as well as numerous collaborations with artists from Sara Barei to William Shatner.
