Dress designer Leigh Buchanan honoured for theatrical excellence

Fashion and theatrical dress designer Leigh Buchanan was the winner of the Brisbane Glugs of Gosh Chief Glugs Award for 2015. The award is for excellence in theatre.
The Glugs of Gosh is a group of showbiz types - actors, directors, writers and theatregoers - who meet monthly for lunch and, as well as funding the annual award, which consists of a trophy certificate and a cheque for $1000, raise money for the Actors and Entertainers Benevolent Fund.
When handing out the award Chief Glug, Muriel Watson said: “Often the people who work behind the scenes go unrewarded in the entertainment business, so it is good to offer the Chief Glug’s award this year to someone who has done phenomenal work behind the scenes and performed on stage too."
