Chamber music French style
St Mary's Anglican Church at Kangaroo Point is to host an event dripping with French style, city elegance and sophistication on Sunday 6 December at 3 pm.
QSO cellist Matthew Kinmont and Topology's Christa Powell (violin) will join Therese Milanovic (piano) to play a concert of Mostly French chamber music.
This chamber music event features some of the most exquisite chamber music written. Experience Debussy’s youthful piano trio, written when he was only 18, soaked with lush romanticism, and Ravel’s piano trio of incredible colours and exotic contrasts, including influences from the Basque region and Malaysian verse.
Also in the mix will be some French gems before the performance concludes with Martin’s rollicking trio on Irish Folk Tunes.
Enjoy the post-concert atmosphere and stunning city views overlooking the Brisbane River on St Mary's lawn, catch up with friends and chat to the performers.
Bookings: www.trybooking.com/IMXN.
Tickets are only $28/$24/$16, or a special family price of $80.
Entry includes a glass of wine or soft drink, and French-inspired light refreshments.
