Brisbane’s own Ed Sheeran returns

Describing themselves as being “amazed” and “blown away”, audiences to previous renditions of Another Ed Sheeran Tribute will be excited to hear that the show is back, and bigger and better than ever. For a one-night-only performance, Another Ed Sheeran Tribute will fill the Sandgate Town Hall with a journey through the love songs of the British singer.

First performed as part of Your Theatrics International Cabaret at the Brisbane Powerhouse in 2015, the show was further developed and last presented in collaboration with Moreton Bay Theatre Company as part of a 2019 Valentine's Day special.

In 2021, the show returns, with Sheeran’s greatest hits and an updated set. Presented by Lynch and Paterson, and featuring Ebony Hamacek as instrumentalist, the show promises an evening of laughs, tears, trivia and maybe even a slow dance with a loved one. Lead vocals for the show is Brisbane-born performer, Trent Sellars.

“There are so many tales of love in Sheeran’s songs,” Sellars said.

“I think the theme of love, and the clever guitar arrangements, are what make them feel so relatable and timeless.”

On February 6th, Sellars joined Lynch and Paterson in West End for their monthly LIVE! show, at which he performed a number from the upcoming show to an excitable crowd.

“Another Ed Sheeran Tribute is just one of a Tribute Series that Lynch and Paterson are establishing this year,” said Sellars.

“There are plans for an Adele and Sam Smith show down the track, it’s all very British.”

Another Ed Sheeran Tribute first came about after family, friends and even strangers were commenting on Sellars’ resemblance to the famous musician. Using the comments as a springboard, and his experience in musical theatre, he created the tribute show to share a laugh and an evening of good music.

Tickets were released to coincide with Ed Sheeran's 30th birthday this week. With the show running in Brisbane for one-night-only, at the Sandgate Town Hall on April 24th, tickets are limited and likely to go fast.
